Kelsey Czar joined the America’s Grow-a-Row staff in January 2015 as the Fruit and Vegetable Production Manager. Growing up in a dairy farming family, Kelsey Czar developed great interest in agronomy at a young age. Wanting to make agriculture her career, Kelsey attended Delaware Valley College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness with a minor in Crop Science in May 2014. Kelsey has been able to combine her education and passion for agriculture as a member of the Americas-Grow-a-Row team. Kelsey gained a wide variety of hands-on field experience while working at the Snyder Research and Extension Farm in Pittstown over the summers while she was in college. While at Snyder Farm, Kelsey helped grow and harvest produce that was donated to local food banks such as NORWESCAP, and she is happy to be involved in the fight against hunger now through America’s Grow-a-Row.
Kelsey has volunteered for many organizations including her local food pantry, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a ministry helping women in need, and more. When she is not spending her day in the field, Kelsey enjoys outdoor activities such as riding four-wheelers, fishing, hiking, or anything that gets her hands dirty. She also enjoys watching and playing sports, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
